Though the course doesn't start until tomorrow, the page is up and active.  I've looked over the different modules and am getting a bit queasy at the prospect of becoming a stranger in a strange land.  I'm not really comfortable with social media, so this will be a challenge.  Luckily I have a geek for a son-in-law who will (hopefully) help get me through this.

Have started an e-learning course on coursera.com.  I have "taken" several courses already, though not for a certificate at this point.  Some of the courses, especially those for upper level math courses are TOUGH.  Which probably explains why I am NOT a math major.  But the courses are very good for getting the information to, at least, been conversant (somewhat) in the topic.  The course on Digital Democracy was very interesting.  I never even considered all the potential problems of implementing digital voting.  It can be quite a mess.

Anyway....I'm looking forward to getting the scoop on e-learning.  I have been reluctant to get involved with the social media.  But I will force myself, since it's part of the work-world now days.  I see more and more job notices that specifically require this type of technical experience.
